Living Outside the Way Your Mind Sees the World

I wonder at times if one of the core tragedies of life is not knowing what reality is. We are often told, taught, and adapted to what we consider reality. In this way, we leave out all of the reality that we have never been taught to consider. In this way, how can we really know ourselves?

Life doesn’t happen outside of us. It’s all about our environment and direction. Are we in a supportive environment? If not, how can we support ourselves to learn something from it, even if it’s not for us? When it comes to direction, do we consider the present with the gravity it needs to propel us continuously into growth?

All of the time, we are seeing the way our mind interprets the world: not the actual truth. We will never see all the pieces and how they fit together, so we do our best with what we know. At times, it may be more helpful to try things we don’t know, or to imagine all of the possible solutions that we aren’t yet aware of. This keeps us from getting “stuck” on problems.

We may often confuse adapting with living. Are we adapting to structures we see as immovable without seeing the big picture of our life? I consider living to mean considering all your options and choosing not only the best possibility, but the one that aligns with your intuition and your soul.

To live outside of the mind, (even though it is not a physical location), one may think, where do I go? And instead of all the meditation ideas out there, I will tell you where I would go. I would go straight to the heart, and imagine sunshine on the back, opening up to the possible. I would live and breathe from my heart, allowing the mind to take a backseat. What if you could imagine that your eyes and head are the periscope observing above water, and that your heart is safely guiding from the depths?

Alignment occurs when your true nature aligns with your true path. With each step you take, step in truth with guidance from your heart. Allow the mind to tire itself out and let go of the chaos of the outer world. Connect with your beautiful center, and live and breathe through it and from it as though anything is possible- because it is 😉
